As an AFP Greater Cleveland Chapter member, you can receive educational scholarships and awards to assist in your professional development, enhance your fundraising skills, and serve your organization with increased commitment to our profession.

AFP MEMBERSHIP

AFP Greater Cleveland strives to provide membership opportunities to all development professionals who want to further their professional experience. AFP Membership scholarships aim to provide financial assistance to those who may not otherwise have the opportunity to join. Scholarship awards cover 50% of the total costs for AFP Global and AFP Greater Cleveland.

CHAMBERLAIN SCHOLARSHIP FOR AFP ICON 2025

This scholarship covers the recipient's conference registration (minus a $10 processing fee) to the AFP International Conference on Fundraising (ICON). One (1) Chamberlain Scholarship is awarded annually per chapter.

Please use this application for the Chamberlain Scholarship and submit the completed form to Sam Smith.

FOUNDER'S SCHOLARSHIP FOR AFP ICON 2025

Up to two (2) scholarships may be awarded for $800 toward registration and travel expenses to the AFP International Conference on Fundraising (ICON).

Please use this application for the Founder's Scholarship and submit the completed form to Sam Smith.

DIVERSE COMMUNITIES SCHOLARSHIP FOR AFP ICON 2025

The AFP Diverse Communities Conference Scholarship Fund ensures that AFP programs are inclusive and supportive of diversity-related issues and concerns. The fund provides financial support for activities that increase understanding and awareness of diversity issues within AFP.

This scholarship offers financial assistance for professional development for AFP members who self-identify as coming from a diverse community and/or those employed by grassroots organizations primarily serving diverse populations.

AFP covers the full conference fee plus some travel support for each recipient. For more information, visit this AFP Global page.

LOCAL TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES

AFP Greater Cleveland strives to host regular training opportunities, both in-person and virtual, for development professionals at all levels. These sessions cover the full spectrum of topics that help you grow your expertise and career. Scholarships cover up to 50% of the costs for local programs hosted by AFP Greater Cleveland.

Deadline: 30 days before the conference date

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMS

AFP Greater Cleveland strives to host regular professional development opportunities, both in-person and virtual, for development professionals at all levels. These sessions cover the full spectrum of topics that help you grow your expertise and career. Scholarships cover up to $15 for local programs hosted by AFP Greater Cleveland.

CHAPTER EVENTS AND MEETINGS

Award: Up to 50% of the event fee. Deadline: 30 days before the program date

EXTENDED PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT TRAINING

Scholarships of $250 each will be awarded for the CFRE Review Course, the CFRE Exam, or the CFRE renewal. For more information, please visit the AFP Global website.
